Diesel Power Company, a partnership firm was originally set up in the year 1978 to deal in diesel engines and agricultural machinery which continued till 1990. In 1991, "DPC Motors", a name more suited to the business of auto parts / automobiles, the firm started dealing in automobile spare parts as the Authorised stockists of the Automobile Giant Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Two retail counters situated at Mapusa and Margao respectively were set up.

The old lines having been discontinued, the firm concentrated on the sales of Mahindra Genuine Spares, resulting in increased turnover. In the year 1995 the Mahindra dealer for North Goa was terminated by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Seeing the opening from a position of advantage as the firm was already associated with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and the huge potential of the market, promoters decided to apply for the dealership and letter of intent was given to the firm to set up a Mahindra Vehicles Dealership.

The newly formed company, DPC Motors Pvt. Ltd. incorporated under Companies Act 1956, was issued incorporation certificate on 19-12-96. The Company is promoted by it's Directors Mr. Michael D'Souza, Mr. John Joseph D'Souza and Mr. Melchier Pinto do Rosario. The main objective of the newly registered Company is to take over the business of DPC Motors.
